Sercotel Coliseo Bilbao, Bilbao

I was pleasantly surprised by the superior room at this hotel. It was a rare find with proper air conditioning that made the stay very comfortable. The only drawback was the opaque glass windows between the bathroom and bedroom, which meant being woken up when my partner used the bathroom at night.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short stroll from plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars. The rooms were spacious enough for myself, my husband, and our very active three-year-old; however, more storage options would have been handy. The service was excellent and the staff were really helpful. The breakfast buffet could offer a wider variety. The central location offers easy access to many attractions in Bilbao.

The location was excellent, within walking distance of the old town, famous pintxos streets, and the Guggenheim museum. However, the lack of ambiance was a minor downside. The dining experience around the hotel was superb, but slightly expensive. Overall, a good value for money stay close to the main attractions.
